SEPTEMBER 2007 NEWSLETTER

It’s that time of year again!  Time to be thinking of renewals & fall work parties and our pot luck supper!

Our first meeting of the year will be our usual pot luck supper on Tuesday, September 25th at the Sportsmen’s Club in Gilford.   Doors will open at 6:00 and we will try and plan on eating by 6:30 with the meeting to follow.   Bring your favorite dish to share! 

We are not going to be sending out a Schedule of Meetings this year as we found them to be pretty useless to most members.  We will keep you abreast of all upcoming meetings & events via the newsletters. 

We will be holding our Safety Class on Saturday, December 8th You need to pre-register your child.   Call Jill at 528-3310 for more information. 

Get Well Wishes go out to Bill Bickford who was recently in a motorcycle accident.  We wish him a speedy recovery! 

Enclosed are the club membership forms.  (print and send form) Once again this year we urge you to send back your memberships along with the dues early.  If you wish to receive the NHSA SnoTraveler each month, you will need to get your memberships back to Jill by November so they can be processed and sent back to NHSA.

One of our major work parties this fall will be to replace the bridge at the end of the by-pass with steel girders, like the bridge at Patrick’s. This will be a major undertaking and we will most definitely need extra hands for this.  We will get the word out.

You will need to continue to check the web site for updates and current events.  We will be pushing for you to all receive the newsletter this year via e-mail as it has become very costly to continue to send out newsletters via snail mail each month.
The Board of Director’s Meetings are held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at my house on Saltmarsh Pond Road in Gilford.  These meetings are open to anyone who would like to attend.  Give a call and let us know in advance if you’d like to attend so as to be sure we are holding one that month.

The Manchester Monarchs will be holding an NHSA Night to benefit Easter Seals. It will be Saturday, Oct. 27 @ 7:00.  Tickets are $11.00 with $2.00 from each ticket being donated to Easter Seals Camp Sno-Mo.  The Manchester Monarchs Hockey Team will be hosting the Portland Pirates.  Check our web site for details.  You will need to call Jill for advanced tickets @ 630-0671.

We are holding the 50/50 Raffle again this year.  The tickets have been printed and ready to be sent out.  If you would like to either purchase one or would like to sell a couple, please give Jill a call and she’ll get them to you.  They are $100. and we are only selling 100.  We have the potential of netting the club $5000 and we’d like to sell all 100 this year.  We got a late start last year and weren’t able to sell all 100 but are hoping this year we can get this accomplished with your help!!  With 600+ members from last year, we should be able to get this done!!!
