Club Members!
Well, it’s that time again. The time to get "the letter" out to the
membership. We put the call out to all the members about our fundraiser
for 2006 and to be honest with you all, the response has been nil. We
apologize for not getting our act together sooner than we did but that
being said, we need some response from the membership for this to work
for us. The deal is that the board of directors decided to try a 50/50
raffle this year rather than trying to raffle a sled, trailer or some
sort of yard sale, club booth, etc. We have 100 tickets at $100 each to
sell and to date, we have sold approximately 16 tickets. The board
decided to try and get as many of the 100 tickets sold by the Christmas
Party on December 12th. I personally thought that we would/could get
this done much easier than it has seemed. So
the call for help is going out to the membership. Some of you
have already sent in "groomer donations" and for that we thank you and
understand if you don’t step up and purchase a ticket. Perhaps some of
you who don’t feel you can afford to buy one for yourself could try and
sell at least one. Another thought would be to try and get a couple of
friends to go in with you and purchase a ticket, cutting the cost for
each of you.
We need to make this work as we have no other means of income other
than the contributions that some of the members have so very graciously
sent in along with their membership checks. Give it some thought and if
any of you are willing to step up and purchase a ticket or try and sell
a ticket, either e-mail me and I can put one in the mail to you or make
other arrangements to get one to you. You can also pick up a ticket at
HK Powersports, I believe Mark Dickson has some at D&D Country
Store on Rte. 106 in Belmont, Bill Bickford has some at Glendale Marine
in Glendale and Russ Dumais has some at Airport Country Store in
Gilford (although his wife tells me he is in Maine this week hunting).
We only need to sell 80 more to make
this a money maker for the club!

P.S. Work party for
those of you locally who are available. Still a ton of work to be done
with not much time left. Groomers need to be put back together, trails
need to be checked for blow downs, etc. Meet at my house on Saltmarsh
Pond Road on Sat.(Nov 18th) at 9 a.m. if available.
